Whoa, there goes Flubber!
  • The part in the beginning where Brainard accidentally enters the wrong classroom—a nude drawing class. And he begins his lecture while the nude students stare at him.
Brainard: Morning—or afternoon, whatever the case may be. We have a lot to talk about today, so let's get into it without delay. Oh! Oh, uh, thank you, whoever gave me the plate of fruit and the dead pheasant. But it does not count as extra credit. Last time we were talking about Newton's Law of gravitation. (writes on the blackboard) To review: We see this "G" is like the "c" in E=mc squared. It's a constant, constant universe, as much as anything is constant in the universe. It's saying that the force of attraction between two bodies is in direct proportion to the product of the masses and in inverse proportion to the square of the distance between them. An example would be (gestures to the two nude modelers in front of him) Let's make, uh, naked man, "M-1." Naked lady "M-2." Now, according to this formula, their attractive forces would want to close the distance to zero. Why don't they? Hmm? (The students continue to stare) The earth! Ah. So, in essence that is gravity and this is... (lifts up the blackboard to reveal another board with the following written) "Dr. Richard's Life Drawing." (chuckles, then stops) It's not my class, is it?
    • Even better is when he suddenly exclaims "The Earth!", we get a brief shot of the female model looking bewildered and mouthing "What?" silently, as she was apparently trying to follow his train of thought the whole time.
  • Philip tries to demonstrate Flubber's bouncing abilities to Sara, so he puts Flubber in his back pocket and purposely falls out a two-story window. Predictably, it doesn't end well.
Brainard: When I exit this window, I will fall to the ground. When I hit the ground, the Flubber will send me right back up unharmed. Watch. (puts Flubber in his back pocket and climbs onto the railing) Ta ta, my love.
    Sara: Are you nuts?
Brainard: I'll be right back. (Flubber flies out of his pocket just as he lets go of the sill)
    Sara: PHILIP!
(Brainard hits the ground with a thud)
    Brainard: Ouch.
    Sara: Philip! Are you hurt?
    Brainard: Just my pride.
Sara: Well, if you think that you're gonna get my sympathy, you're wasting your time! (bumps her head on the shutter) Ow! We are finished! (slams the window shut)
    Brainard: (groaning weakly) Sara... Oh!
  • When Hoenicker's mooks, Smith and Wesson, are spying on Brainard while he's experimenting, Brainard is so busy, he doesn't notice his Flubber-coated golf ball and bowling ball actually hitting those guys!
  • While testing the Flubber on his car, Brainard accidentally closes the hood on Weebo, trapping her inside.
Weebo: Professor! Help! Let me out!
Brainard: Oh! Weebo! (opens the hood, and Weebo floats out) What were you doing in there?
    Weebo: Flirting with the alternator.
  • The entire flying car scene.
  • While Flubber bounces around the neighborhood after being driven crazy by the camera flash, it enters a house through its filter, splitting into many smaller bouncing blobs and startling the family living there. The dad tries to stomp on one, only to be bounced off and landed on a couch.
  • The coach's failed attempt at encouraging his team, after describing how much better their opponent team is.
Coach: But that doesn't mean we can't... whip these guys, right?
    [Awkward silence from the team]
  • Brainard first launching the bowling ball and realizing the power behind it:
    Brainard: Hit the deck!
  • At the basketball game, Brainard takes the opportunity to aggravate Wilson by calmly pulling out an air horn and blowing it right at his head while immediately pretending it was an honest mistake:
    Wilson: OW!
    Brainard: Oh, sorry. Sorry, Wilson.
    • Also during the game, after Midfield scores yet another shot, Brainard is shown cheering loudly and slapping Wilson on the head repeatedly with a rolled up pamphlet, while Wilson looks nonplussed and then turns around and angrily snatches the pamphlet... Revealing another smaller roll of paper underneath.
  • The poor guy at the family dinner table who gets hit in the face with a resounding "WHAP!" When the Flubber invades their house.
  • See the Ambiguous Syntax trope on the main page. By the end, even Robbin Williams himself is struggling not to laugh!
