Poor Weebo...
- Phillip leaving Sara at the altar for the third time, since he's busy conducting his experiment. Nobody can fault her for later telling him off when he tries to rationalize his inability to show up as promised.
- Weebo's death. Danny Elfman's music makes it all the more effective.
- What makes it sadder is that Phillip and Sarah return to his house after a successful meeting with a car executive, and they're laughing merrily until they see the door is hanging off its hinges, then make their way to the basement where they find Flubber missing and a badly-damaged Weebo on the floor with battery fluid leaking out of her, looking an awful lot like blood. Weebo displays some minimal lifesigns and Phillip tearfully insists he's going to fix her. Then, as Phillip holds Weebo's broken form, her screen goes blank. Phillip's quiet "Goodbye, my friend" tops it off. Devastating.
- And that's before the following scene where Phillip and Sara discuss what happens to the soul of a machine, as Phillip admits that he can physically recreate Weebo but doesn't know how he can recreate what he describes as the "glorious accident" that made her actually alive rather than just a machine. Whatever else Weebo was, neither Phillip nor Sara doubt that Weebo was genuinely alive and had a soul to mourn.
- And on top of that, there's Weebo's Video Will featuring Weebo in human form. She ends the video by blowing Phillip a kiss.
