Funny / Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

Go To

  • In one of the skits, Cerberus points out that Zed once died to the God of Destruction's fart.
  • The ridiculousness that is Hero Yarmada. He's essentially a parody of isekai protagonists who get summoned to another world, only his subsequent deaths take a toll on his personality. When Zed meets him in-person, Yarmada has become a "Self-Sequestered Domicile Defender" who mooches off the king's wealth.
  • Piyori insisting on Cerberus having the nickname "Prism Pup," which he abhors. He is not a mascot, thank you very much.
  • Melodia's constant insistence that she and Zed are getting married afterwards, whether she's faking it or not, wouldn't half as funny without Zed's over-the-top refusals. In one skit, he loses it just from Melodia holding his hand.
Zed: Who would wanna be MR. All-About-Me!? And who said you could hold my hand!? W-Wait... Hand... Hold!? With a girl!?
  • Zed's whole belief that justice is nothing without victory, which warps Piyori's belief in it, which causes Misedor to worry that her TV show won't be suitable for children. Then she brings out the super weapon she stole that'll inflict 1000 years of butthurt, so he brings up the unsuitable part again.
  • Every time Zed is completely infatuated by Bieko's cuteness.
  • Ivar's extreme fascination for Bieko weirding Zed out. When his fascination first comes to light, Zed tells Cerberus to call the cops. To reiterate, they were gonna call the cops on an overlord.
  • Majolene being mortified of her Magical Girl transformation and complaining about it whenever she can. Her battle quotes even reflect her dislike of her short skirt.
  • When everyone points out Melodia's selfishness, Piyori decides that Melodia will need to have her Prism title changed from "Prism Princess" to "Prism Bitch". The "Bitch" even gets a Sound-Effect Bleep in English!
  • To remedy Piyori's worries that her TV show will be canceled due to her falling off as a heroine, Misedor literally bribed the producers to make sure the show can continue with a new movie rework.
  • Majolene is trying to stop Lemisera from doing the test that took her life. Misedor tries to convince Lemisera to follow him to make money, but it sounds like he's trying to do something criminal with her, so she screams "Stranger danger!" and runs off, much to his dismay.
  • The group arriving at Zed's house. Melodia wastes no time in diving into his underwear and finding bear-print undies.
    • The skit that follows reveals Zed's not into those undies...because he moved on to elephant-print undies.
  • Everyone guessing right away that Ivar is an idiot, despite his power.
  • Once the party learns about Misual's machinations, Zed blames Ivar for it, but he narrates a long story about how he ended up detesting Misual for doing experiments on his vassals before he was driven out of his castle and ending up at Zed and Bieko's shack. After the story ends, Zed points out...that it was still Ivar's fault, and Ivar agrees.
  • Ivar failing miserably to steal Zed's rousing lines towards Bieko, forcing Zed to push him away so he doesn't finish them.
  • Once Misual shows up, Misedor complains that he's got power, smarts, and good looks.
  • The Reveal that the Magical Wand of Transformation was nothing but a botched kids' toy that Misual and Releiza created to entertain little children, prompting the latter to put a warning on it (the same warning Majolene didn't see at first) because it's impossible to reverse the effects after it’s used, only despairing Majolene further.
  • The Prinnies under Laharl's control plugging how they became protagonists in Prinny 1 and Prinny 2.
  • Flonne geeking out about becoming part of the Prism Rangers (though she at first tries to become their leader by beating Piyori).
  • Etna's irrational demands for the Ultimate Dessert which Laharl tricked her into thinking the group had.
  • The intros to the DLC episodes. Each one begins with Zed dying due mostly to bad luck, causing his Super Reincarnation to activate and send him to the DLC character. Case in point, the intro to the Adell DLC.
Zed...is dead. In a stroke of rotten luck, a meteorite struck him on a casual stroll, opening a fissure that swallowed him into the earth.
