• A moment of Casual Danger Dialogue mixed with Mood Whiplash when Paul sees the Imbocans for the half-fish abortions of nature they truly are, and they storm into the hotel to kill him. He just barely manages to bar the door, leaving the Deep Ones rattling the knob in annoyance before he lets fly a one-liner.
  Paul: (more annoyed than terrified) ...Can I help you?
  Deep Ones: (begin pounding on the door and snarling)
  Paul: (Oh, Crap!)
• Many, but this conversation tops it:

  Uxia: Dagon needs her sacrifice!

  Paul: Fuck Dagon!

  Uxia: Yes, and their child will live forever!

  Paul: But there's a catch. He has to live his life as some kind of half assed fish under the sea!

• This verges on Black Comedy Rape, but:

  Ezequiel: He fuck her.

• In one scene, Paul beats a fish-monster with his cell phone, and wishes he'd bought a Nokia when it breaks.
• Any instance of CGI in the movie. Those effects do not hold up.
