Beware unmarked spoilers!

Issue #2 opens with a news report about the murder of Brian K. Vaughan. Otto watches this and is shocked to hear about it... and a bit peeved that they refer to Vaughan as a "Marvel writer".^note
Issue #12:
- Robert Kirkman (who co-wrote the issue) gets confronted by Negan, ending with Kirkman being brutally beaten to death with Lucille. Reading the script for this, Cates is blown away by it and kind of jealous that he didn't think of it.
- When Negan first arrives at Kirkman's luxurious house, filled with comic book art and merchandise, he seriously wonders if the owner is an adult.
