Funny / Bye Bye Birdie

  • Two words: "ED SULLIVAAAAAN!!!"
    • Near the end, Harry MacAfee chimes in with "Ed, I love you!" That it came out of Paul Lynde's mouth is funny enough, but it gets better: on June 12, 1960, Lynde and company sang "Hymn for a Sunday Evening" on the real Ed Sullivan Show! Yes, he actually said "I love you" to Ed's face!
  • Albert sneaking his speed pill to a conductor, who then conducts Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" at a very fast speed...the poor ballet dancers!
    • "Uh, thank you, Russian dancers, for that brilliant and unexpected bit of burlesque."
  • Paul Lynde pretty much steals every scene he's in!
