     The Ordeal

  • When Miles gets arrested, Ashley asks him if she should get him a toothbrush or toiletries, to which he replies "I'm not going to summer camp, baby, I'm going to jail". She then asks him what their online banking password is, and he replies that he's not going to yell that in the street.
    • Ashley also gives Miles her jacket (since he's not wearing a shirt) and it's only when the cop car drives away that she realizes she left her keys in it.
  • The sight of Earl standing on the street corner, his ankle monitor plugged into an extension cord, trying (and failing) to get a guy at the neighbourhood taco truck to buy him a burrito.
  • When Trish complains about having to wear pants in the house (claiming "liberated legs" and "well-ventilated coochie" as reasons), Rainey says to her: "I love your coochie. It came out of mine. But it does NOT need to be the first one your nephew sees."
  • When Ashley shows Rainey the engagement ring, she is overjoyed, and in an attempt to make Ashley feel better, she tries to propose as Miles. Ashley is understandably weirded out, however, and it's quickly dropped.

     Smashley Rose

  • It's a bit of a Tear Jerker too, but when Rainey goes to a bookstore and asks if they have any children's books about having parents in jail. Rainey is clearly not expecting to find much, but it turns out they have plenty of options, including one with rabbits as characters.
  • Earl tries and fails to enlist Sean in his quest for a burrito. Sean is willing, but Ashley says that Earl "can't use her son as a burrito mule."

     The Four Hustlateers

  • The entirety of Earl and Janelle's stoned cook-off, especially Janelle's inability to pronounce the word "pescatarian".
  • When Ashley tells Rainey that she missed her visitation with Miles, she speculates that "maybe he'll find another butt phone and call her tonight." Rainey asks if "butt phone" means what she thinks it means, before deciding that it's better that she doesn't know.

     Beaches Be Trippin'

  • Earl's parole officer's description of his job:
James: My job is to make sure ex-cons don't get weird or fuck up. The extension cord? That's from column A, Earl.
    • Later in the scene, when Earl starts smoking a blunt, James takes it out of his hand and stomps on it repeatedly, before Earl points out that marijuana is legal now and that he's on private property. He even says that James owes him $10 for the cigarette.
  • Janelle recaps the events of Blindspotting (the film) to a confused Earl, admitting that "it was a whole movie".
  • Several moments in the Disney Acid Sequence, including:
    • The reappearance of Ashley's pink vibrator from episode one.
    • A segment where all four women (Ashley, Janelle, Trish, and Jacquie) are dressed in karate gis and fighting a bunch of men dressed as judges, and Earl unexpectedly runs through the fight, punching out one of the judges.

     Ghost Dad

  • At the beginning of the episode, Ashley is soliloquizing about a way to tell Sean about Miles being in prison. The audience is led to believe that it's a dramatic aside (like in the other episodes), but then it turns out that she's actually practicing it in front of Scotty, who shuts it down as terrible right away.
  • After the debate on black film, Earl and Janelle end up watching Paddington 2, which Earl classifies as a black movie since it closely mirrors his own experiences.
  • During Ashley and Imaginary Miles's "date" on the mountain, they wonder why she's conjured up his presence. Miles correctly guesses that she feels guilty about not telling Sean, but he also says that it's because she's thirsty for him.

     Seannie Darko

  • Jacquie's description of the bizarre, but ultimately harmless fetishes her regular customers want to pay her for, including one man who paid her $5,000 to soak in her bathwater and another who wanted her to paint his toenails.
  • Jacquie and Cuddy shamelessly flirting with each other at the bowling alley, especially when she tells Trish to "get her hiking equipment because she's going to climb that mountain."

     Bride or Die
  • Trish repeatedly setting off the metal detectors at the prison, and trying and failing to remove her grill.
  • Just when Ashley thinks she's finally going to see Miles, she's instead taken to see Niles Turner, who's just as confused as she is about the whole situation, and who reveals that he actually knows Miles from the events of the film. He also says that, tragically, he can't marry her, despite the fact that she's obviously not interested.
  • Miles and Collin catching up on the phone at the end of the episode.
