• Eureka gets his way with Baltan by using puppy dog eyes instead of brute force or threat of violence.
• Azzie and Lleuwellyn have an ongoing prank war with Baltan revolving around misusing his soda cache.
• The first time Baltan significantly interacts with Azzie, he’s bringing him food and Azzie hides under the bed. Baltan feeds him under the bed and when he tries to draw his hand back Azzie bites it and doesn’t let go until Baltan pulls him out from under the bed, at which point he gets up on his own and shows that he easily could have crawled out from under the bed—he just wanted Baltan to do it for him.
• Crossover with Heartwarming; Baltan offers Azzie and Lleuwellyn one of his sodas in a friendly gesture, since Lleuwellyn has just come to the city. But he gave them a pickled onion flavored one, which sparked a prank war.
  • One of the first things they do as Baltan is released from the hospital is prank him by giving him a bottle of soda dosed with hot peppers as a sign that things are returning to normal.
• Selkess trying to give Baltan and Eureka a Breaking Speech only for them both to say that they don’t really care what he has to say. They do somewhat regret this later when blood tests show that there is a biological link between Eureka and Azzie.
  • Selkess’s response to this is to be offended and call them rude, and then Yuita gets all of them to shut up and move on with the climax.
