• After introducing his toddler daughter to the series in the form of "Sweetpea Lovecraft", she ends the episode with this wry observation:
  (looks at Howie) "You're not Daddy anymore."
• Carl Sagan Reads "Nyarlathotep". Seriously.
• From the "Rent" episode. Lovecraft asks Mr. Klesser to come on camera and explain how him and the reanimated persons living in his house reached an agreement about the paying of rent:
  Klesser: (long pause) W-we reached an-an understanding quite some time ago, uhm, and-and it's-it's worked out pretty well... Uhm... There was one time when I-I broached the-the subject of compensation... Uhm... (learns in closer to the camera) He eats so much sugar!
  Lovecraft: Mr. Kessler!
  Klesser: (flinches) Sorry. But, uhm... Then... (clearly ashamed) Then they gave me a swirly... P.H. held my ankles and, uh... (now disturbed) Carl Sagan... He just stood there... And laughed... (walks off-camera, looking like he is on the verge of tears)
• From "A Farewell From the Dark", during the musical number, everyone dances along, except for Kessler himself, who stands around and looks at the others dancing with a confused and somewhat disgusted look on his face.
