Funny moments in Al Rawabi School For Girls.
Season 1
- In Layan's room, we see a box titled "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY BREAK GLASS". In it, there's an eyeshadow palette.
- Layan blackmails Sumayyah into outting who ratted her to Principal Faten (it's Mariam), and beats them up once she finds out their identity. Later, Mariam uses Sumayyah to get her revenge on Layan by leaking her voice notes shittalking the teachers.note
- At the charity event, we see a girl rapping the Al-Rawabi school anthem instead of singing it normally.
- When the gender segregated crowds at the charity event intermix and boys and girls stand too close to one another, Miss Abeer starts walking around with a disciplinary rod to separate them, even as they do their best to ignore her.
- Episode 5 of Season 1 is the funniest episode in the entire series, chock-full of hilarious moments from start to finish. The first would be the girls on the bus doing Tiktok dances, and teaching them to Miss Abeer, as they sing the Al-Rawabi school anthem.
- On the field trip, Miss Abeer's swimsuit is a full head-to-toe navy blue swimsuit with hot pink sleeves, because she's so religious that the thought of dressing like the girls horrifies her. The girls then squeal that she looks like a mermaid and take photos of her.Girl 1: You look like a fish in the-Girl 2: Not like a fish!Girl 3: More like a mermaid!
- Miss Abeer is so aghast by Rania's vacation outfit that she drapes a towel over her.Miss Abeer: Rania, you should at least leave something to the imagination! Don't reveal everything you have at once! It'll make you look cheap!Rania: (faux-nodding after every sentence, while pretending to pay attention) So how much should I reveal exactly, to be on safe ground?
- And later, when the towel starts slipping off a bit.
Miss Abeer: (viciously whispering) COVER YOURSELF! - Dina does a Tiktok dance with lots of arm movements to BTS's song Fake Love. A stranger walks by, sees Dina dancing, picks up her towel, and leaves without saying anything. Dina doesn't even notice her because of her sunglasses
- When Miss Abeer and Miss Jumana go to the nightclub to retrieve Layan, Rania and Noaf, a man takes Jumana's hand and twirls her. Like what she did at the charity event, Miss Abeer uses her disciplinary rod to motion him to mind the opposite sex. He mistakes her as dancing and lowers his knees in response. Miss Abeer is shocked.
- Miss Abeer giving the younglings at the club looks of disgust for dancing inappropriately, while Miss Jumana seems amused and keeps smiling.
Season 2
- One of the books Principal Farah Al-Aahmad authored is I Don't Want to Talk Either: A Dive Into the Teenager's Mind.note
- When Sarah enters the toilet stall one of the things written on the door is "shit happens".
- Tasneem and her friends making a performance about body positivity...but then neglecting to include Farah because she's too ugly. While this was deliberate and meant to be a critique of pop feminism, it's darkly hilarious when you think about it. Not so much when it turns out to be one of the final pushes for Farah to kill herself.
