Fridge / What About Bob?

Go To

Fridge Brilliance

  • Bob seems oddly composed and "normal" when he poses as a detective in order to get Leo's phone number, which seems odd for someone with his condition. Some research has shown, however, that role-playing exercises can be helpful in treating people with phobias.
  • One may wonder why Leo doesn't just call the cops on Bob or file a restraining order against him until you realize that Leo is more concerned about not looking like the bad guy to his family, who already have significant problems with him and are conversely enjoying Bob's company. By the time his family realizes Bob is making Leo’s condition worse and he has to go, Leo is already too far gone into his Sanity Slippage.

Fridge Horror

  • Leo's EXTREMELY blasé attitude towards Bob's "suicide" makes you wonder if this isn't the first patient he's Driven to Suicide.
    • This is more likely because since he had only one meeting with Bob, he had no time to develop any kind of a professional relationship with him. At this point, Bob is not much more than some random person on the street.
