Fridge Brilliance

  • The later retcon in Ultimate FF that the Doctor Doom who died was not really Victor was made possible thanks to one crucial (and almost certainly accidental) detail Loeb and Finch put in. When Doctor Doom is killed by the Thing at the end, the resulting gorn makes it abundantly clear that like 616 Doom, this is an organic being in a suit of armor. The problem is, Ultimate Doom is explicitly not an organic being in a suit of armor, he's a creature of living metal with no blood or organs. While this was likely just a mistake and the result of a mistake, later writers used this to explain that the "Doom" who was killed was actually Mary Storm posing as the real Doctor Doom.
  • It makes perfect sense that Dormammu overpowers and kills Dr. Strange. Unlike the one from the Prime Earth, Ultimate Dr. Strange is not Earth's "Sorcerer Supreme", he's just a TV celebrity who knows a pair of spells, and no more than that.

Fridge Horror

  • Before the wave, Kong mentions that he saw The Dark Knight several times. Which means that the wave came during the time the film was in theaters. Obviously, broadcasting films in the destructive aftermath must had been halted for a time. Which means that all ongoing films bombed, regardless of their merits. So probably the rest of The Dark Knight Trilogy was cut short.
  • The death of Pym, killed by army of Multiple Man suicide bombers, is sadder if you take into account that by this moment the X-Men were fighting at the Savage Land. Had he survived a while longer, all the Multiple Men would have suddenly disappeared in thin air when Wolverine killed Madrox prime.
