In the Grand Finale, several people Cinderella befriended and helped in earlier episodes attend her wedding/coronation. But notably absent are Isabel and her lover. Why is this appropriate? Because if they were there, Isabel wouldn't be able to join happily in the festivities: she'd be mourning her father's death. Villain though he was, Zaral was still a caring father, and his fate would still be tragic for Isabel even though it saves the kingdom. Having her still be conveniently overseas lets the ending be unabashedly happy, with no bittersweet note.
