Fridge Brilliance
- According to a comment from a user on Cinemorgue
, being such a stickler for the law and the rules of it, Dewey wouldn't tell Jill that Kirby survived because she's only her "friend" and not a relative. - When the killer calls Jill and Kirby before he attacks Olivia, Kirby at one point says "I can barely hear you". As he's actually hiding in Olivia's closet, of course he'd be keeping his voice down.
- Similarly, when Rebecca gets a phone call from Ghostface, she also notes that she can hardly hear his voice, which suggests that the caller is close by and is very likely the same Ghostface that then kills her.
Fridge Horror
- What if Jill had succeeded? How many “sequels” would she make? One early idea for the new Scream trilogy would have had her going to college and going on another killing spree, dueling against another Ghostface/s.
- While it’s heartwarming and awesome that Kirby did survive as revealed in Scream (2022), she was rescued and brought to the same hospital as Jill and Sidney were. Depending on her state she might have been awake to hear Final Battle. Imagine surviving such an ordeal thinking it’s over, then hearing gunshots and screaming down the hall while your to injured to make an escape in the one place you thought you could be safe. Kirby must have been terrified beyond belief.
- And how on Earth did she react to the news that her best friend was the killer? Not once did she ever suspect Jill, and she has to live with that knowledge.
