Fridge Brilliance

  • At the beginning of Tormented Fathers, Gloria admonishes Rosemary for smoking and explains that Richard hates it. However, not only does the house have an ash tray within reach when they have this conversation, it already has used cigarettes in it. While it's possible that Gloria has simply had the same conversation with other visitors, in Broken Porcelain we learn that it was Celeste herself that introduced Rosemary to smoking, giving another reason that might be there (especially considering how many other things have been left untouched since she was last at the house).

Fridge Sadness

  • Tormented Fathers does not shy away from the fact that the conclusion is tragic, with Rosemary being forced to kill in self defense and with even the mastermind being revealed to be sympathetic and going out with a Villain's Dying Grace. After playing through Broken Porcelain and looking back on it, however, it gets even worse. Rosemary didn't accidentally instigate the deaths of just any villains involved in a past tragedy she was acquainted with. Gloria was her first friend, and Richard Felton was the biological mother of her best friend, the very person she had come to the house to find. By the end of Broken Porcelain, the other person she has the option of killing is her best friend's remaining parent (even if he was a Hate Sink that Celeste herself had no love for). To think that, after all the trauma Lindsay went through as a youth, she wasn't able to bring everyone closure without being backed into pouring salt on the wounds that meant the most to her.
