Fridge Brilliance

  • The second game is extremely heavy-handed in its negative portrayal of college party culture and Wacky Fratboy Hijinx. The mortifilia infection reaches Fallcreek University due to the plant being used as a drug, the characters make remarks criticizing drug use and unprotected sex, everybody who was seen partying in the early scenes dies in often arbitrary and brutal fashion, and the fraternity that was hosting the party is revealed to be the Greater-Scope Villain. In other words, just what you'd expect from a video game version of a teen horror movie, where The Scourge of God was often in full effect as the killer metaphorically punished the young, horny, pot-smoking teenagers while the survivors were paragons of morality (which Shannon and Stan, appearances aside, are in this game, being the only ones who never used the drugs).
