- In a flashback, TK tells his mother that even though he's a full-blown heroin addict that he's never missed a shift, or arrived to work late or 'dirty'. He makes no mention of whether or not he was high while at work, trying to save people as a paramedic.
- 3x10 has Captain Tatum (who in the previous season nearly choked to death after aspirating sand and dust during a storm) begins to display symptoms consistent with dementia. He agrees, and is permitted to retire with a full pension—bit what he may not realize is those same symptoms are also consistent with hypoxia-induced brain damage, which could have resulted from the sandstorm incident
