Fridge Brilliance

  • Some of the elemental choices on the islands make sense, when you think about it.
    • While Mammott's fur is stated to be incredibly resistant to both heat and cold, nothing says it meshes well with water, hence why it's not on Water Island.
    • Earth Island is volcanic, which would probably threaten drying up many Water monsters.
    • In a similar case, Fire Haven is too hot for Water monsters and Cold monsters, hence the later creation of Fire Oasis. Fire Oasis lacks Plant and Earth, who've already had their time to mingle with the Fire monsters, but Air remains; they were likely the most suitable to help construct the island.
    • Psychic Island has Plant and Earth monsters alongside the prerequisite Fire monsters. Voyaging into an unexplored place warrants monsters that can handle tough environments; Earth is hard to break and Plant doesn't need much food to survive. Once it was found that the island was populated by the friendly Psychic monsters, they dropped the need to be careful with their element choices as the other Magical islands would be populated by peaceful monsters.
    • Plants are stuck rooted in the ground, and thus cannot reach up towards Air Island.
    • Bone Island's elements perfectly embody everything that you'd see in a cave; the Earth element is an obvious choice, but also the Water element due to the small bodies of water you may encounter in one, as well as the skeletal remains of any creatures who may have died here. Not to mention, what is one of the essentinel things to explore a cave? A light source of course, so the Fire element would make for the perfect torch.
    • The Ethereal Elements presence also make sense considering their correlation with their respective natural element:
      • The Shadow element exists on Cold Island because seeing something scary would send chills down your spine. Plus, the words "cold" and "dark" are frequently used in tandem to describe a place that's uncomfortable to be in. There's also the fact that it gets really cold at night, and the winter season is when the sun has a shorter day cycle.
      • Mech and Air are related to eachother because humanity wasn't able to reach the skies without the creation of advanced machinery such as planes or blimps.
      • The Crystal element can be found on Water island as the ocean is home to such valuables like pearls and shells.
      • The Poison element is on Earth island since volcanic ash and gas are highly dangerous to one's health, and are also a form of pollution.
  • Flum Ox's elements are Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. In other words, it has the Four Elements, fitting as its design is reminiscent of a Bhuddist monk.
  • Each Quint has been associated with an element bar Air, and it's been implied that the final quint (representing the five base elements) is Mimic. Beyond Mimic being a bird-like creature, it makes sense when you consider that Air is the first "absent" base element, as you can't get any Air monsters on Plant Island. While we've known about Mimic for a while, but have yet to see it realized ingame, it's also been "absent." Similarly, it would still be unobtainable in the original My Singing Monsters thanks to the four element limit on Natural Islands and the Fire Quints only appearing thanks to Amber Island.
    • As of the 11th anniversary update of the original game, Mimic has been added to Dawn Of Fire, confirming it as the air alpha!

Fridge Horror

  • The fact that Punkleton is one of the most feared monsters in the monster world.
  • The fact that when you box monsters into the Wubbox, you are Feeding them monsters. Let that sink in.
    • This is averted in-game, as the Wubbox description denotes the interior as a paradisiacal location where the monsters are alive and happy to stay forever.
      • Averted even further with My Singing Monsters: Playground, which takes place inside of a Wubbox, showing us that it's a playground full of fun and games for the inhabitants. The description of the 'Cannon Chaos' Contraption implies that it's just another dimension in the World Tree that, thanks to being digital, can even connect to other dimensions.
  • Even worse is when you realize that you have to put unborn monster fetuses into Wublin statues to activate them.
  • Where do monsters go when you sell them?
  • What would the Monsters transforming into their Prismatic counterparts actually look like? In-game, all it really talks about is that the Prism Gate alters the Monster at a molecular level into something else, and what their features turn into. Thinking of the process can definitely spawn an amount of Transformation Horror, especially with some of the already disturbing looking Prismatic forms.
  • During the cataclysm, the Prismatics all got sucked into the Prism Gate besides the Prismatic Quibbles who were stuck in the ground thanks to their corkscrew shape. A double dose of horror: Considering the molecular warping that happened to the Prismatics already just by going through the gate, what are the chances they survived? Second, of the Prismatic Quibbles, only the Red variant can still be found in the contemporary era as Epic Quibble. What happened to the other variants?
