Fridge Brilliance

  • Robert Blaze created the cure for the disease he is infected with. Why can't he just make more? Why do they need to steal it? Because they're not after a cure for the disease at all.
  • Warden dismisses the idea that Not-Jack could just walk into the apartment and ask Daniel to give over the cryogenic pod on a flimsy pretext. Daniel knows its Terrorgorn and would just tell Not-Jack.
  • The identity of Jacques McKewon as an AI writing his stories makes perfect sense to novelists. They're not original in the slightest but just repurposed and rephrased tales of other Star Pilots. Thus showing that it's all form of plagiarism.

Fridge Horror

  • The star pilots may have been a bunch of man children but they were actually fighting a huge chunk of evil doers and, as we see with Terrorgorn and others like him. Without them, there's plenty of dangers unopposed by anyone.
    • Even worse is the revelation that a lot of the archvillains are Karma Houdini types like Malcolm Sturb because not even the star pilots really cared about their crimes. Plenty of them just retired because they didn't have their favorite opponents to play with (and quite a few married their archenemies). It means that the star pilots and their villains didn't care about the people they were fighting over.
