Fridge Brilliance

  • Sasara's role as "Street Performer" in Hypnosis Mic Quest 2. The direct inspiration for this scenario event was Dragon Quest, where the Gadabout sometimes makes people lose turns by making them laugh uncontrollably. Sasara's Ability does the same thing.
    • Likewise, Kuko as a ninja, since his Ability involves him striking a pose and concentrating.
  • The logic behind Salty Valentine: Saburo (3) and Jyushi (14) are taught manzai by Rosho (maths teacher). It's pi to 2 decimal places!
  • Why does Rei call himself "Satou" in Fancy Funky Candy? Think about it: candy is made of sugar. "Satou" is not only a generic Japanese surname, but with different kanji, it means "sugar".
  • Ramuda's outfit for Hypnosis Mic Quest 5 is based on Conan Edogawa. Both Ramuda and Conan are the product of sci-fi plotlines (Ramuda being a clone, while "Conan" is the creation of APTX4869), plus they act younger and dumber than they are to prevent much older people from realising they're smarter than they look. Also, a voice changer is a critical part of solving the mystery (although according to the item description, said voice changer is not in Ramuda's bow tie).
    • Likewise, Hitoya's is Sherlock Holmes, explained by the name of his card - "The Doctor is His Buddy". In Hitoya's case, this buddy is Jakurai, while Sherlock's is Dr. Watson. Hitoya is also the detective of this case.
    • Gentaro's is Father Brown while Dice's is Akihiko Chuzenji, whose cases are typically tied to the supernatural in contrast to the other mystery series. Dice is implicated as the criminal, while Gentaro is the criminal.

Fridge Logic

  • Ichiro's involvement in Hypnosis Mic Academy. It's meant to be Rosho's dream under Rei's hypnotism...right?
