Fridge Brilliance

  • Hades suggesting the idea of golf to Hippocrates to slow him down is intended to be a Take That!. However, he may have helped Hippocrates' work long-term by avoiding burnout. Everyone, even doctors, needs breaks.
  • In addition to her love for her husband, there are two other reasons that Meg isn't really fazed by discovering his embarrassing past and in fact seems to handle it better than he does:
  1. Meg has made her own major mistakes, and she's probably all too aware she has little room to criticize.
  2. Meg was in cynic mode for some time before Herc thawed her out again. Next to most of the things she learned to expect from men, a few embarrassing teenage incidents are nothing.
  • Herc describes his ideal girlfriend as “tall, curvy and crazy about him”. That sounds an awful lot like Meg, doesn’t it?
  • In the musical number "Lethe Water on the Brain", Thalia splashes herself with the titular Lethe Water (which causes forgetfulness), but is clearly unaffected. Why? Likely because the Muses are daughters of Mnemosyne, the titaness of memory.

Fridge Horror

  • Cassandra states she was cursed to never have her visions believed, but the show never explains who cursed her. In the original mythology, it was Apollo. In many versions, he did it after she escaped from him when he tried to assault her...
