Fridge Brilliance

• An assassin, with peak physical condition and razor-sharp intelligence? A Batman-level preparation ability? a heavy air of rumor and mystery surrounding the true reach of his capabilities, the likes of which not even the reader knows? The ability to strike completely undetected, and disappear into crowds with indistinction? There's good reason why Golgo 13 has been such a successful character for over 50 years - He's a Ninja, and quite possibly fiction's most realistic interpretation of one in the modern day.
  • It can be a challenging viewpoint, considering his use of guns. However, real ninja would have no reservations about using anything at their disposal as long as they can do so quietly. Golgo 13 does so well enough.
  • Additionally, he doesn't match the typical image of a Ninja. However, he absolutely bullseyes the dress code of an actual ninja - inconspicuous and undetectable. Any time he appears in public, he blends in perfectly.
  • Where Golgo truly shines in this department, however, is how he can seemingly defy all practical logic - determining the position of a spy satellite to look up at it, taking a bullet near to the heart and shrugging it off moments later, etc - he constantly demonstrates he is not a man to be underestimated. Combined with the fact that almost nothing is known about him, it promotes extreme speculation and rumor, even among fans of the series, some of whom wonder if he is possibly supernatural. This perpetuation is, quite possibly, his most ninja quality.
  • If the theory of his origin as presented in "The Serizawa Family Murders" is true, then this may very well be the case!
