  • It might seem strange that in this version of Rapunzel, Rapunzel's mother craves radishes instead of the traditional rampion greens. But while the Grimms' tale does imply that it was the greens she wanted, rampion roots can also be eaten like radishes: although they're long and white, not round and red, and they don't have blue leaves. Still, this means the episode departs less from the original tale than we might think.
  • In Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Mama Bear's place at the breakfast table is by the window, which explains why her porridge gets cold while Papa's and Cubby's don't, and when she spoons out the porridge, she serves Papa last, which explains why his is still so hot when Goldilocks arrives.
