  • In "Cup and String", when informed that he's speaking to Tim via a cup, the Solo Help Lines operator cheerfully remarks that "It usually works better with a bowl." Seems like a non-sequitur at first, but we gradually learn over the conversation that Tim appears to have gotten utterly hammered, broken into someone's house and tied them up, but is too drunk to fully realise what a terrible mistake he's making, and the Solo Help Line is his mind's fevered way of trying to alert him to the situation. Now, what other situations might someone incredibly drunk be prompted to question their life decisions? When they're hunched over a toilet bowl, perhaps...
