Fridge Brilliance:
- The message's use of "sword" as a hint to the space-hearse's location seems like Artistic License – Space, considering that the constellation Orion only looks like a man with a sword from the perspective of Earth's solar system, and only to humanoids who carry swords at their waists for that matter. However, Orion must be a well-known configuration in the Whoniverse, because the "Eye of Orion" was cited many times in the Classic series as a universally-famous beauty spot and tourist trap! So whether the constellation is interpreted as a sword-bearer by the inhabitants of worlds directly opposite from Orion in Earth's sky, with our own Sun as yet another star in the figure's weapon, or whether it's an idea that got passed around by Ice Warriors and/or Ancient Astronauts like the Osirans who used to hang out on Earth, the notion of Orion isn't confined to just the local humans.
