It would appear odd that Keda's tribe would have such awestruck expressions when Alpha gives birth; after all, these are people who live very close to nature and would have a great deal of exposure to animals on a regular basis. But these are people who have no domesticated animals, and thus wouldn't normally be exposed to animals giving birth. Moreover, wolves give birth in dens, their pups hidden away for some time until they are larger, more independent, and not as helpless. Keda and his people are witnessing something that they had never seen before.
