Fridge / A Face in the Crowd

• Fridge Brilliance: When we first meet Marcia, she's wearing a white dress, showing her outgoing personality, and she continues to wear white as long as she's either in charge of Lonesome, or feels she's on equal footing with him. By the end of the movie, when the cost of being turned into Lonesome's Beleaguered Assistant and Girl Friday has taken its toll on her, as well as her guilt at helping make Lonesome into the demagogue he is, Marcia is now wearing all black, showing her fragile state emotionally.
