Toomorrow is a 1970 British musical film written and directed by Val Guest and starring Olivia Newton-John.

Toomorrow is a pop band whose use of a synth called a tonaliser has attracted the attention of aliens, who need their vibrations to live. An alien is sent to Earth in the guise of a human named John Williams (Roy Dotrice) so he can learn the band's methods and help abduct them so they can teach the aliens how to make music.

Toomorrow contains examples of:

  • Happy Place: While Toomorrow play "Happiness Valley," they all imagine themselves in their happy places. Benny lies on a towel while several girls in bikinis smear sunscreen on him, Karl's girlfriend pushes him in a hammock, Olivia sits on a horse, and Vic is a rich celebrity who sips champagne.
  • Honey Trap: When Williams learns that Vic is having problems with his girlfriend Amy (Imogen Hassall), he sends another alien, Johnson (Margaret Nolan), in disguise as a hot girl to seduce him. It doesn't work, because just as they're about to have sex, Amy shows up, saying she wants to talk about their relationship, and the two make up.
  • Human Disguise: The aliens wear skinsuits with Latex Perfection masks while they mingle with the humans.
  • Modesty Bedsheet: Benny is introduced sitting up in bed with his latest conquest, who holds the sheet around her chest.
  • Tractor Beam: The aliens use a huge yellow beam to bring people aboard their spaceship. It's slow enough that John Williams checks his watch as he's lifted.
