The Sasquatch Gang provides examples of:

  • Adorkable: Almost all the characters in the movie are somewhat nerdy. Gavin is so silly when it comes to girls, Shane's a big bully that still plays with his toys, and finally Zerk is a an average Joe who spends all the money he got on fast food and any other trifling stuff while being in debt.
  • Always Second Best: Hobie feels like this, when always Gavin is around. Then he decides to play the Brutus...
  • Annoying Laugh: Shane has one.
  • Book Ends: The movie starts with a red car crashing, and the end has a red car crashing.
  • Catchphrase: "Shirts, you're a dang genius, man."
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Gavin has been called Dirty D for quite some time.
  • Groin Attack: Sophie gives Shane one after he tried to forcefully kiss her over a bet.
  • Jerk Jock: Shane and his gang.
  • Lovable Jock: Zerk comes off as mean to Gavin and friends, but then he gives him the advice he needs against Shane's behavior.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Sophie is the only significant girl in the main cast and she is the girlfriend-to-be of Gavin; also Hobie and Shane, and unfortunately Zerk shows some interest in her.
  • Those Two Guys: Zerk and Shirts.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: The ironically named “Shirts” never wear a shirt throughout the entire movie. His entire family are like this too - his older brother is similarly always bare chested (and bare foot), and his dad removes his shirt as soon as he gets home.
