The Night They Knocked is a Horror Movie by Sean Roberts.
For their final weekend together before graduating college, a group of young adults decide to spend some quality time in a house up in a mountain neighbourhood. While there, it seems this will be a time for dirty laundry to be aired, like Jess (Rachel Donahue) getting knocked up by someone other than her boyfriend, and Derrick (Jack Buckley) admitting that he took the heat and went to a jail for a crime committed by his brother, Dom (Brendan Donegan).
Of course, those plans are soon brought to a halt once the sun goes down, and the gang find they've got some unexpected visitors with some not-too-good intentions for them.
The movie was released on October 11th, 2019.
The Night They Knocked contains examples of:
- Batter Up!: The clown-faced killer's weapon is a baseball bat.
- Bloody Handprint: One of the killers leaves two of these on the back door window upon revealing himself.
- Bolivian Army Ending: The film ends with Derrick and Dom about to face the entire gang of killers with just an axe and a crowbar.
- Bound and Gagged: The killers manage to catch one of the girls and tie her to a chair, with a cloth over her mouth, outside of the front door.
- Dwindling Party: As par for the course, the main cast get killed one by one as the movie progresses. By the end of the film, only Derrick and Dom are still alive.
- Good Old Fisticuffs: One of the survivors takes on one of the killers in a fist fight.
- Hope Spot: One of the kids realizes they can use the shotgun in the house to fend off the killers. However, Dom reveals that his parents, knowing Derrick would be there and not wanting someone with a criminal record getting his hands on a weapon, took the gun.
- Monster Clown: One of the killers wears clown make-up, a red shirt, suspenders, and white gloves.
- Spit Take: We get one from a conversation about a friend of the girls' who had a Pregnancy Scare. The results...
She had triplets.

- Walking Shirtless Scene: A non-erotic example, in that one of the killers doesn't have a shirt on.
