The bond between a mother and her child is the only real and purest bond in the world, the only true love we can ever find in our lifetime.

Beware The Woods is a Horror Movie by Tanner McGarr.

Josh (Paul Grewe) is a young man who decides to bring his girlfriend June (Emily Lauziere) and other friends Jessica (Floyd Moring) and Liz (Kira Dotzler) to a shack up in the woods of Colorado for a weekend of fun... and to finally propose to June. On the way, Jessica tells the gang a story about a woman who, 25 years ago, accidentally killed her husband and daughter in a car accident. She was blamed for their death, since she was the one behind the wheel at the time, and was driven into the woods, where the lack of human contact destroyed the remainder of her sanity. She's still up there, looking to take her revenge on any who dare intrude upon her property.

Of course, it's just a story, right?... Right?

The film was released on January the 25th, 2022.

Beware The Woods contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: The old woman saws one of Josh's arms of before he can get in the getaway car.
  • Booby Trap: While Josh and Liz are approaching the old woman's house, they come across a tripwire. Josh pushes it downward, and almost get a face full of blades as a result.
  • The Chase: After freeing June, she and Josh run through the woods with the old lady chasing them.
  • Creepy Basement: Averted for the most part. The old lady's basement isn't really that creepy aside from it being where she keeps June tied to a chair. Then Liz finds a skeleton off in a corner.
  • Creepy Doll: When the hiker happens upon the old lady's house in the prologue, the camera cuts to a doll inside with a dirty, cracked face.
  • Don't Go in the Woods: At least, not the Colorado woods where a murderous old lady resides.
  • Flipping the Bird: Josh's sister does this to him on his way out of their house.
  • Shovel Strike: The old lady uses a shovel to bring down Jessica's roommate so that she can drag him off.
  • Smash to Black: The movie does this as June is driving away, the old woman chasing her on foot.
  • The Stinger: After the credits roll, we see Jessica's roommate out in the countryside looking for her, and running into the old lady.
