The Wandering

Awakening in the body of a Delta Commander, our SI travels the multiverse, trying to acquire new technology and make things better for everyone. And maybe enjoy himself along the way.
- Death Is Cheap: Once Delta visits the ARK: Survival Evolved universe, he makes sure to snatch the specimen implants so that those under him can have access to easy Resurrective Immortality.
- The Emperor: Delta Imperator eventually converts his forces into a mobile empire known as the Ion Crown, with himself as Emperor.
- Emperor Scientist: Delta is the leader of the Ion Crown, and also the main source of its scientific breakthroughs. His various empresses also prove to be no slouches in the science department.
- Foregone Conclusion: Delta will defeat every enemy he comes across — the difference in power levels and technology levels is that big. The meat of the story is how he does this and how he handles diplomacy with the powers he doesn't want to kill off in an instant.
- Good Is Not Soft: Delta is a genuinely nice person, but isn't above outright destroying an uninhabited planet to make a point of how capable he is.
- Massively Multiplayer Crossover: By nature - the first five arcs include characters and technology from Planetary Annihilation, Alien vs. Predator, Transformers, Independence Day: Resurgence, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and ARK: Survival Evolved.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Delta feels this when Myndo Waterly is Driven to Suicide by his Psy Op against Comstar. Not that she didn't deserve it, but Delta worries if he wants to be the kind of person that does something like that, even to his enemies.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: The Ion Crown's punishment for Mina Jinn for all the crap the COG has gotten away with both before and during her rein? Leave her to the mercy of a facehugger. He also does this to Admiral Tolwyn, with the addition of an Ark implant so he can do it to him over and over and over...and then there's his vengeance against the Zygerrians from Star Wars for being unrepentant slavers.
- Planet Spaceship: Delta's empire, the Ion Crown, is composed of "ships" that are actually alternate universe versions of the moon Io that Delta plucks whenver he visits a new universe.
- Polyamory: Delta has a Royal Harem, but it is clear that every member is in a committed relationship with all other parties.
- Royal Harem: Delta unintentionally sets one up for himself when he earns the affections of Moira Vahlen and Helena Walker. He later adds Princess Aisling Duval to said harem, with implications he'll eventually add Lana Beniko to it as well.
- Showy Invincible Hero: Delta Imperator is leaues beyond anything his opponents can throw at him. The fun comes from just how many options he has for defeating his enemies.
- Spotting the Thread: Jack O'Neil is one of the very few people in the multiverse to recognize that some of Delta's forces come from fictional universes, in account of having seen some of those films and games.note
