The Cymbal Dragon is a fanfic by Vorando. Fluttershy is given a Cymbal Dragon for her birthday, she is soon plagued by unfortunate events, causing her to alienate her friends, she soon finds out the dragon is responsible for all her misfortune and seeks to find a way to destroy it before it's too late.

- Big Good: Zecora, she tells Fluttershy the cymbal dragon is behind her misfortune and advises her to destroy it.
- Bottle Episode: The majority of the fic takes place at Fluttershy’s cottage.
- Cruel Twist Ending: Fluttershy's friends throw a party for her while she recovers from her injuries, the dragon is seemingly destroyed, and all seems well only for Pinkie to reveal she found the dragon, which clashes it's cymbals together causing the ceiling to collapse, seemingly killing all of them.
- Downer Ending: The Mane Six are trapped in Fluttershy's cottage and are seemingly killed when the ceiling collapses.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Nice going Pinkie.
- No Ending: The story ends abruptly when the roof to Fluttershy’s cottage collapses.
