- Adaptational Heroism:
- Mina Loveberry, downplayed. She's still racist towards monsters and, along with Solaria, is patiently waiting for monsters to "show their true colors" so she can kill them and Globgor. However the fact that she's willing to wait until they actually pose a threat, and that she is kind to Meteora despite being half-Monster is a big divergence from cannon. Although this could be contributed to the fact that this is a younger, less insane Mina.
- The MHC are a similar example. They hold no ill will towards Eclipsa and Meteora since they believe that the former's marriage to Globgor was an unwilling arrangement rather than her choice. Having said that, they still wanted Festivia to be born first because they didn't want a half-monster inheriting the throne (like in cannon). Though they warm up to her and give her her own wand later. Rhombus in particular warms up to Meteora when he learns he's Meteora's favorite member of the MHC.
- Broken Pedestal: Though they still love their nanna, both Meteora and Festivia loose some respect for her after finding out she was the Monster Carver. Meteora takes it the hardest.
- Bigotry Exception: Solaria likes to think of Meteora as a Mewman "cursed" with monster blood rather than a monster. Mina and the MHC feel the same way.
- Big Sister Instinct: Festivia attacks her biological father Shastacan after learning he planned to have Meteora killed.
- Fantastic Racism:
- Solaria, Mina and the Magic High Commission towards monsters, as usual. Shastacan is the worst as he want to kill Meteora and Globgor.
- Seth of Septaris and his monsters want to kill all the Mewmans.
- Founder of the Kingdom: At the end Meteora founds her own kingdom, Eclipseshire
- Irony:
- Meteora is hinted to be Solaria's favorite granddaughter because of their shared fighting spirits. She even campaigns to have Meteora take the throne over Festivia considering her the more worthy ruler. Keep in mind that Meteora is half monster and Solaria is called the Monster Carver. Hekapoo acknowledges this.
- For extra irony, the Son-In-Law Solaria handpicked and approved of ended up betraying her and her family, while the one she was waiting to give her a reason to kill him was loyal.
- Related in the Adaptation: Here Festivia actually is the daughter of King Shastacan and Queen Eclipsa rather than a pie-folk adopted by the MHC. This makes her Meteora's half sister.
- Sibling Rivalry: Meteora and Festivia have this when they are younger, but they grow out of it. Meteora considers Festivia a lazy party animal while Festivia considers Meteora a stick in the mud.
- Wham Shot: While in Father Time's realm Meteora and Festivia get a glimpse of Star, Marco and a part-monster boy with Cheekmarks
- You Are Not My Father: Festivia disowns Shastacan after learning he tried to kill Meteora. By that time, however, she had already come to consider Globgor her true father.
