- All There in the Manual: As mentioned in the Preface chapter, this fanfiction will not just feature stories that mostly focus on them, but it will also cross into other universes with completely different genres (magical girl, sci-fi, etc.) as well.
- Deconstruction: In Viva La Petite, Komari's motivation into wanting to act like a grown-up and getting over her insecurity, much like in the source material, was the primary conflict of the story. However, her motivations to do so only led to nearly destroying her friendship with them. It finally paid the price, when Komari was nearly killed by a group of thugs.
- Mood Whiplash: Viva La Petite has this. What started out as Komari's insecurity problems over her being treated like a child and wanting to be treated like a grown-up, later nearly costed her life when she unknowingly wandered into an abandoned warehouse and was nearly beaten to death by a group of thugs.
- Shout-Out: Viva La Petite is a parodised title of Coldplay's single Viva La Vida.
