The Apple Fell Far
is a Worm fanfic by Slider, author of Mutant Deviations.
In this fic, Annette cheated on Danny with Adam Mustain- the future Skidmark- resulting in Taylor not being Danny's kid.
After Annette dies, Taylor is left in custody limbo between Skidmark and Miss Militia.
And then the Slaughterhouse Nine start mysteriously showing up at Empire 88 gatherings whenever Taylor is nearby.
It is complete.

- Only Sane Man: Skidmark spends the bulk of Miss Militia's interlude wondering out loud why he of all people- a drug-addled gang leader unfit for caring for a minor, who knows and acknowledges this- became the Only Sane Man amongst Taylor's parental figures.
- Race Lift: Taylor is a Chocolate Baby in this fic.
- Related in the Adaptation: Taylor and Skidmark.
- Inverted with Taylor and Danny, which is played for drama and causes Taylor's living arrangement.
- Tragic Keepsake: Taylor is forced to sacrifice her plush mouse projection (her projections get more 'alive' the longer she has them active, and it has been active since she triggered).
