With anomalies opening up across the United States, said nation decides to form its own team to deal with these temporal conundrums. This is their story.
Episodes
- The Ace: Wyatt - not only is he a successful businessman, he's also former special forces.
- Asshole Victim: The first humans to be killed in the story are a bunch of criminals running a dog-fighting ring. It's hard to feel sympathetic for them.
- Bull Fight Boss: A variation happens with an angry Estemmenosuchus - the creature in question has been shot with a tranquilizer dart, but since Instant Sedation is not in effect, the team tries to speed up the process by having it collide with nearby obstructions.
- Chase Scene: Horned Hunter has one where Colt has to keep himself ahead of an angry female Ceratosaurus using a motorcycle. It ends with Stephanie knocking out the dinosaur via Car Fu.
- Feathered Fiend: One of the biggest dangers in the first chapter is the giant, flightless, carnivorous bird, Paracrax.
- Full-Boar Action: While it isn't considered a member of the pig family anymore, Archaeotherium fulfills this role in The New World.
- Instant Sedation: Not in effect - whenever a creature is tranquilized, it takes time for it to pass out.
- Lampshade Hanging: During the events of Episode 3, after failing for the third episode in a row to get all of the prehistoric creatures into the past before the anomaly closses, Madeline notes that the team absolutely sucks at their job.
- Shout-Out:
- Madeline continually attempts to find the anomalies using iron rods, since the anomalies are magnetic.
- The author also includes a reference to one of his other stories, Prehistoric Park: Returned from Extinction, by having Madeline use a Saurus Software computer.
- Wham Episode: Episode 3, "Horned Hunter" - at the end of the chapter, Wyatt has a phone conversation with his son, where it is revealed that he is actually Tiberius Saurus, the father of Saurus siblings from Prehistoric Park: Returned from Extinction, confirming both stories are set in the same universe.
