The Hope and Faith Saga is a trilogy of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers fanfics by Ryu Taylor the Ferret. A continuation of the games, it picks up two years after Darkrai's defeat at the hands of Pugno the Riolu and Pelame the Eevee of Team Space-Time. The stories center around a struggle against a fiend calling herself Unod the World Destroyer.
The three parts are as follows:

- Part 2: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - The Demon Comet
- Part 3: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - The World Rebuilder
The author decided to reuse the OC cast in his new PMD fic, Planes of Existence.
The saga as a whole provides examples of:
- Apocalypse How: Unod's ultimate goal is a Class Z.
- Apocalypse Wow: She was well on her way to accomplishing a Class X by tearing the planet apart with her wings. Thank goodness Pelame stopped her and put the two halves of the planet back together, at which point the final battle started.
- Badass Adorable: Lots of them. Just to name a few:
- Pelame the Eevee, Pugno the Riolu, Vand the Oshawott.
- Big Bad: Unod the World Destroyer.
- Darkrai is this for the second story, until it's revealed Unod is Not Quite Dead.
- Big Fancy Castle: The Alpha Castle.
- Book Ends: The final battle takes place on the Treasure Town Beach, where Pelame and Pugno first met.
- Cerebus Syndrome: Things keep going downhill the more appearances Unod makes.
- Cessation of Existence: Disappearing.
- Chekhov's Gun: The Space Globe in the second story. The Mortite Frism in the third story.
- Cool Old Lady: Votum
- The Corruption: The Dark Blessing functions this way.
- Crapsack World: What the world becomes after Unod conquers it in the third story, having been rendered unable to destroy it outright.
- The Dragon: Mew is this for Unod.
- 11th-Hour Superpower: Pelame evolves into a Sylveon for the Final Battle.
- Everything's Better with Rainbows: The Rainbows of Hope, which are around as long as there is a Spirit of Hope and Faith.
- Face–Heel Turn: Scraggy gets coerced into making one in the third story. Just when he realizes his mistake, he evolves into Scrafty, and Unod asserts her control of him.
- Heel–Face Turn: Thanks to Vand and Pelame, he is able to finally undergo this.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: Unod began her life as a Voice of Life (which, in the saga, is basically an ordinary resident spirit), and then grew up to be the biggest threat to all existence ever seen.
- Killed Off for Real: Loyal and Cresselia in the first story.
- Team AWD, the Sableye squad, Team Skull, and Darkrai in the second.
- Moltres, Jirachi, Lugia, Mew, Torkoal, Scrafty, Grovyle, Dusknoir, Celebi, Shadow, Magus, Wigglytuff, Votum, and Unod in the third.
- Knight of Cerebus: As soon as Unod makes her first appearance and her return at the end of the second story things begin to get worse.

- Passing the Torch: Chatot becomes Guildmaster when Wigglytuff dies.
- Pyrrhic Victory: Grani and Ken's victory over Unod happens after just about everyone in the world had already died. Hope still exists due to Grani, Ken, and the very few survivors looking after the children who had hatched from the Pokémon eggs left behind by the ancestors of the Saga's main characters.
- Sealed Good in a Can: Arceus
- Self-Made Orphan: Unod murders her mother, Votum, during the climax. She also killed her father, Terminus, long ago.
- World-Wrecking Wave: Unod releases one after absorbing the Core of Existence, covering everything in darkness. It doesn't just cover the planet, though; it covers every last corner of existence itself.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Unod offs Moltres for failing to capture Grovyle.
