The world of Remnant is a place filled with darkness, with creatures of death and destruction around every corner along with other sinister forces hidden away. But watch as four people come together to show that there is still light in this world and be the heroes this world needs.
IFMS: Heroes of Remnant
is a crossover fanfic between My Hero Academia and RWBY by Ninjamon1228.
The story follows Izuku Midoriya as he attends Beacon Academy alongside Jaune Arc, his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, his childhood bully, and many more and their journeys to become great huntsman.
This story is a reboot of RWBY Academia which can be found here. This story is cancelled as of January 14, 2022.
This work contains examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: All of the My Hero Academia characters have Aura's making them more durable than their home series. They also all trained with unique weapons that are part melee and part gun.
- Since Aura is something everyone is born with, Izuku had powers from birth and unlocks his Semblance at eight, and is proficient with multiple weapons thanks to it.
- Slightly diverted with Jaune. He unlocks his Aura earlier and went combat school, but he still is pretty bad.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Jaune's actions in Volume 1 are portrayed slightly worse here than canon due to how it affects his long-time relationship with Izuku.
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Several
- Midoriya and Jaune are childhood friends and their families get along. They were also former friends with Katsuki Bakugo before he turned into their bully.
- Weiss fixes her relationship with Ruby faster than canon. This time it's Yang she has issues with.
- Keigo(Hawks) and Fumikage have some sort of mentor/teacher relationship
- Without the conflicts the MHA world brings, the Todoroki family have a much better relationship with each other,
- The members of team IFMS (Infaumous) and team TEKD (Teakwood) all have a closer relationship than they do in their home series.
- The members of Team RWBY, JPNR, IMFS and TEKD all have a (mostly) positive relationship with each other.
- Weiss and Izuku especially as Izuku as the author plans for the two to be together.
- Eri is adopted into the Midoriya family early on and has a positive relationship with almost everyone thanks to her Cuteness Proximity
- The teachers of U.A. and Beacon all have different relationships
- Higari Maijima (Snipe), Nemuri Kayama (Midnight) and Masakazu (Ectoplasm) work together at Katsuki, Izuku, and Jaune's school and were their perspective proctors for their graduation exam. Nemuri in particular claimed Izuku as her favorite student
- Oobleck is Izuku's uncle. Though that just makes him harder on Izuku.
- Aizawa (Eraserhead) and Shuzenji (Recovery Girl) work at Beacon.
- Adaptational Nice Guy:
- Partially diverted with Katsuki. He's not nice, but nowhere near as bad as canon. He learns to tolerate people faster, is not as physical abusive, can work with others and has some respect for Izuku's work ethic to being a Hunter.
- Shoto, with the lack of familial problems, is not the vengeful and cold person he was in canon.
- His brother Touya is not a villain and is instead a huntsman.
- Weiss's relationship with Izuku makes her cold and arrogant personality develop faster than canon, including making up with Ruby. Partially inverted in her developing conflict with Yang
- Adaptational Species Change: Eri is a Gazelle Faunus and Fumikage is a Bird Faunus
- Adaptational Superpower Change: Due to this being the world of Remnant, all the My Hero Academia characters don't have quirks. Instead they have Auras and Semblances similar to their quirks.
- Izuku has the ability to transform dust into weapons.
- Call-Back: During Aizawa's first team exercise, Eijiro comments on how it could be worse and they could've been handcuffed together instead of tied. Next exercise, they aren't tied together. Instead their handcuffed.
- Continuity Nod: Just like the original RWBY, this story has four trailers representing the main team.
- Green trailer has the nearby woods infested with Grimm.
- Purple trailer has White Fang members robbing a dust cart.
- Pink trailer has the news mention how a bar got wrecked by a woman with long, golden hair.
- Duel Trailer has Shoto being inspired by All Might to become a hunter and Rei supporting it.
- Cuteness Proximity: Eri is so cute that all of the girls, even the stoic Weiss, fall for her and want to spoil her.

- During the Green trailer, Marvel For All is played during Izuku's fight.
