When Hordak moves in with Entrapta and begins acting in the kingdom's politics, Coda sees him as a threat to his authority and the kingdom's stake in Etheria's politics, especially considering Hordak's history as an Evil Overlord.
- Everyone Can See It: Pretty much everyone knows that Hordak and Entrapta are at an intimate stage in their relationship, though they have not gone to third base.
- Everything's Better with Rainbows: Much like Hordak, some of the horde clones have learned about the variety of colors other than green and grey they could use to craft their own identities. In Zed's case, he adorns himself in every color he could manage other than green and grey.
- The Fundamentalist: The horde clones in the Enclave remain loyal to Horde Prime and have the same False Dichotomy real-life cultists hold, believing that Horde Prime faked his death and cut them off from the Hive Mind as a test of their faithfulness despite the fact that he could have just read their minds.The Speaker: It is not our place to question Him!
Hordak: Yet the questions still come[.] - Individualism vs. Collectivism: While Coda rejected the Builders Association's request for funding, Hordak allowed it. Coda is trying to keep Dryl's economy steady by only funding what he sees as necessary enterprises, preferring to fund the mining operations and making sure that their workers are safe and paid, that money eventually reaching their families and other businesses and thus spurs economic growth. Hordak on the other hand believes that the money should be used to provide for the everyday citizens, putting in the efforts to rebuild Dryl to higher living standards so that they have enough to work at maximum efficiency. It reflects Real Life arguments of Libertarian and Socialist arguments when it comes to labor and welfare and neither of them are completely wrong in their reasoning.Hordak: ...it's best not to have its people live like beggars. People who don't have to worry about dying from the cold and elements can put their efforts into finding work and earning wages to buy what they need.
Coda: If you keep putting money in the people's hands, then they'll keep expecting handouts! The people work harder when they are properly motivated. - Jerkass Has a Point: While Coda is primarily motivated by Realpolitik, he has every right to be suspicious of Hordak, considering his conquering campaign with the Etherian Horde and Entrapta essentially giving him Dryl when she joined the Horde.Hordak: When I led the Fright Zone. All the people received room and board, health care, dental, and regular meals, and we were strong enough to almost take over Etheria.
Coda: Oh, oh! So your intentions have revealed themselves! You intend to turn Dryl into the next Fright Zone!
Hordak: Now who's the fool!? I have no plans to reinstate the Horde, nor would I ever break the peace Etheria had suffered to attain.
Coda: Suffered because of you! - Meaningful Rename:
- When the Scorpion People reclaimed ownership of the Fright Zone, it was renamed "Peaceful Fields".
- "Wrong Hordak" now goes by Zed.
- Moral Myopia: Allegedly, Horde Prime ate and drank things other than amniotic fluid and "[partook] in the flesh", something that the horde clones think is forbidden for them. While the Speaker thinks that Horde Prime is a perfect being and is allowed to do such things, Hordak takes it as a sign that the fact that he "would break his doctrine when it suited him" meant he wasn't a leader worth following.
- One-Word Title
- Right Hand Versus Left Hand: When Entrapta's Uncle Coda comes to visit, it is because of Hordak contradicting his orders, Hordak is unaware of this until after the fact. While Coda turned down a request for funding from the Builders Association, Hordak allowed it.
- Too Much Information: When Coda voices his concerns of the kind of scandal Entrapta's relations with Hordak could cause, Entrapta ensures him that they have only been "exploring." Hordak immediately excuses himself from the table.
