You are Jaune Arc and you're about to face your final test from Signal Academy. If you pass the test, you will be recommended to Beacon Academy.
But you have nothing to worry about. For you have the Transistor.
Hold it in is a RWBY/Transistor crossover quest fic written by Prok. Here, Jaune awakened his semblance much earlier and it's a different one from canon. But it was too powerful for a child and it made him pass out from nausea. In order to properly control it, he created a computer in the shape of a giant sword. It was then the Transistor, the titular sentient AI, was born into this world.
Thus begin the story of Jaune Arc and his A.I.s to be huntsman and saves the world.

This quest provides examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: Let's just say that Jaune is not the same wimp kid he was in the show.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: Several in fact,
- Jaune meets both Velvet and Coco after taking the final test, though only cameos.
- During a part-time job, Jaune meets Weiss Schnee in a hotel.
- Adaptational Intelligence: Thanks to the Transistor, Jaune is much smarter than he was in the show. He's also a computer whiz.
- Artificial Intelligence: Jaune creates Bracket and Blue, two A.I.s to help him.
- Benevolent A.I.: Both Bracket and Blue are benevolent and want to help their sysadmin, Jaune.
- Cool Sword: The Transistor.
- BFS: The Transistor is a huge sword.
- Clingy MacGuffin: Jaune needs it to perform Function. Without it, he will suffer migraines at best, possibly fatal aneurysms at worst.
- Empathic Weapon: The Transistor is very empathetic.
- Only the Chosen May Wield: Nobody else can wield the Transistor because it's super heavy. Only Jaune can wield it by hovering it.
- Talking Weapon: Once upgraded, it has the ability to talk.
- Living Weapon: The Transistor stores two AI: Bracket and Blue.
