The Haunted Series is a series of Total Drama fanfics written by Dylalan. The series all focus on the idea that Chris abused his position as host of the show in order to have sex with some of the female contestants, which damaged almost all of them. Needless to say, this series is not one for a faint of heart.

The series contains the following tropes:

  • Age Lift: Izzy was actually 23 during the first season of the show.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Chef worked with Izzy in order to prevent Chris from having his way with the girls the best they could.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul:
    • Due to All Stars never happening in this universe, Duncan and Gwen are still together.
    • Lindsay and Tyler were never dating. Their relationship with something that Chris asked her to fake for ratings as well as to hide his own relationship with her.
    • Given that Izzy is aged up from 16 years old to 23 years old during Island and her hatred of Chris' actions, she was most likely never dating Owen, who is 16 years old.
    • In canon, Izzy and Chef had a rivalry that usually ended with them coming to blows. Here, they were actually working together to try and keep Chris from raping the other girls.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Needless to say, Chris is well beyond his canon behavior in terms of evilness, considering that he sexually assaulted several of his contestants.
  • Adapted Out: All Stars never happens in this series and the original contestants' contracts ended after season 3.
  • Batman Gambit: Gwen's reporter friend Jenna specifically asks Lindsay how long she has been dating Chris, knowing that Lindsay won't lie, which will expose Chris as a pedophile.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The canonical ending of the series sees Chris get exposed, but the girls he's hurt are still damaged.
  • Dark Fic: The series deals with the aftermath of Chris raping several of his underaged contestants, revealing just how badly he damaged them.
  • Declaration of Protection: After Gwen reveals what Chris did to her during World Tour, Duncan vows that he will stop Chris if he tries again.
  • Denied Food as Punishment: After Duncan punches him over learning what a monster he is, Chris tells him he's not getting any food for three days.
  • Dumb Blond: Played for Drama. Because Lindsay is so stupid, she doesn't realize that her relationship with Chris is wrong.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: After realizing what Chris was doing to them, Heather did her best to keep Lindsay out of his clutches.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Heather and Gwen bonded over their shared trauma and are the only other contestants outside of their respective boyfriends that they speak too in the present day.
  • Flashback: Several parts of the story will flash back to the seasons, showing just why Gwen and Heather gave into Chris' requests.
  • Former Child Star: Izzy was one and it ties into her wanting to keep Chris away from the other girls.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: How Chris was able to wrap so many girls around his finger. He appealed to their desire to be seen as someone more important than they were.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Duncan was crushed when he realized that he was basically helping Chris assault his fellow contestants.
  • Obfuscating Insanity: Much of Izzy's insanity was faked, as she used it mainly to keep Chris away from her.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Part of the reason Chris was able to get away with his deeds for so long was because he was extremely smart about them. He let the girls back out if they pleased (and did the same with Duncan, who he used as a patsy), makes sure the girls actually consent (in a way, see below) and didn't try to push his luck with other girls he found attractive if he felt it would be too hard Examples.
  • Questionable Consent: The girls are all consenting, but Chris is taking advantage of them being young, still somewhat naive and lonely to get them to say yes.
  • Riches to Rags: Dakota's fate, as her father cuts her off due to her falling for Sam who can barely make ends meet as a video game developer. However, she doesn't mind, as she no longer wants to be famous after what she did in an attempt to become famous.
  • Serial Rapist: Chris got to Gwen, Heather, Lindsay, Dakota, Sammy/Samey and is implied to have gotten several other girls off screen.
  • Shame If Something Happened: How Chris kept Duncan from speaking up. He threatens to have him locked up for at least fifteen years, even up to thirty if he wanted.
  • There Are No Therapists: There are, but the girls refuse to see them for various reasons, such as Gwen struggling to open up in general while Heather is too proud.
  • Trauma Button: Heather seeing Chris with Lindsay while on a date with Alejandro leads to her rushing out of the restaurant and locking herself in her room for nearly a full day.
  • True Companions: After Chris cruelly revealed he just thought of her as another girl to have sex with instead of anyone special, Sammy/Samey breaks down in tears. Jasmine sees this and, without asking any questions or even saying anything, merely sat down and comforted her.
  • Understanding Boyfriend: Both Duncan and Alejandro are extremely understanding of the trauma their girlfriends went through thanks to Chris and are constantly doing whatever they can to help.
  • Worth It: Jenna was more than willing to risk getting blackballed if it meant that Chris would be exposed.
  • You're Just Jealous: When Duncan calls Chris sick after walking in him on him and Lindsay having sex, Chris replies with this.
