is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfic by Alex12.
The premise is in this AU, after Fluttershy is sent away at the age of 18 by her father for not having her Cutie Mark, she finds it in a way similar to canon, and even then, her father kicks her out due to the Mark's nature. She wanders onto Sweet Apple Acres, and meets Big Macintosh. As he helps her out, he soon falls for her. The two marry, and have a child…Scootaloo.
This fanfic contains examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Her father at least, who hates Fluttershy for not having a Cutie Mark, and then because her mark makes her "An Earth Pony with Wings."
- Alternate Universe: The main difference is that Fluttershy is older than in canon, closer to Big Mac's age than the rest of the Mane Six.
- Big Damn Heroes: Twice in chapter 2:
- First, Fluttershy arrives in time to save Scootaloo and Apple Bloom from the Manticore.
- And when Nightmare Moon threatens to kill Scootaloo so the Elements aren't used, Big Macintosh kicks her, saving Scootaloo, and cuing the Elements.
- Bill... Bill... Junk... Bill...: Happens at the beginning of chapter 2, as Fluttershy checks the mail:Junk, junk, bill, junk, royal proclamation, junk...royal proclamation?
- Dead Fic: The fic has been on hiatus since 2014.
- Easily Forgiven: A simple apology is all Luna needs for everyone to forgive her for taking Scootaloo hostage and threatening to snap her neck three minutes ago.
- Fantastic Racism: Empyreanists are Pegasi who hate the ground-bound races.
- Happily Married: Mac and Fluttershy.
- Hostage Situation: Nightmare Moon grabs Scootaloo, and threatens to snap her neck when the Elements of Harmony are about to activate in an attempt to not get hit. Unluckily for her, Big Mac kicks her, freeing Scootaloo, and leaving the Elements free to hit Nightmare Moon.
- In Spite of a Nail: Fluttershy is still the Element of Kindness.
- Meaningful Name: Fluttershy's tribalist father is called Storm Front, which is also the name of a supremacist hate site.
- Plot-Relevant Age-Up: Fluttershy is years older than herself in canon, to avert a case of Teen Pregnancy.
- Sexy Discretion Shot: The fic cuts away right before Mac and Fluttershy's first time.
- Shoot the Hostage: Scootaloo attempts to invoke this with the Elements of Harmony, reasoning that they probably won't hurt her much.
