Eminence in- Wait, isn't that Skeleton the Final Boss? is a fanfiction series by Snowmistys. It is a crossover between Overlord (2012) and The Eminence in Shadow.
The New World is entering a new era. Ainz Ooal Gown and his Sorcerer Kingdom finally rises from the shadows and start spreading their influence across the neighboring kingdoms. Unbeknownst to the monstrous group, someone had foreseen their arrival and had steps in summoning a being to challenge them, a being that lurk from the darkness and hunt down shadows.

- Adaptation Deviation:
- Since the entire fic is set on the Overlord universe, some of the locations from The Eminence in Shadow are replaced with more familiar settings. For example, the Argland Council State is Midgar Kingdom while the Re-Estize Kingdom is the Oriana Kingdom.
- In the Light Novel, Cid gave his chocolate to Sherry while in the fic, he tosses it to Remedios.
- Adaptational Explanation: In this fic, Platinum Dragon Lord was the one who reincarnated Cid into the New World to take down new Players.
- Adaptation Species Change: Nu and 559 were humans in the original series but in this fic, they are Elves.
- Big Damn Heroes:
- Just as Gazef, Brain and Climb were about to be attacked by the Death Knights, Delta comes in and slaughters the monstrous pursuers.
- Platinum Dragon Lord protects Cid from being fatally hurt by Remedios.
- Entertainingly Wrong:
- Ramposa believes that Momon is the leader of Shadow Garden and that the reason Momon is serving Ainz Ooal Gown is to undermine and kill him. He is wrong however as Momon isn't Shadow Garden's leader and Momon IS Ainz.
- Not knowing how the five Death Knights died, everyone in the Sorcerer Kingdom believes that they were killed by Brain Unglaus.
- Nosebleed: Beta has this after she got TOO into writing a very raunchy sex scene between her and Shadow.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Shadow not only took on the Black Scripture and won but also bested Shalltear.
- One Dialogue, Two Conversations: As per usual for both these series.
- After Cid gives a vague answer as to why he rescued the members of Shadow Garden, Alpha thinks its because he wants them to become his concubines. The truth however is that he wanted an audience to his acts.
- Significant Name Overlap: Both the Sorcerer Kingdom and Shadow Garden have someone named Delta which leads to a case Mistaken Identity as when Brain tells Sebas about SG's Delta, Sebas thinks he's talking about one of the Pleiades.
- Related in the Adaptation: Rose Oriana is a member of the Re-Estize Kingdom's Royal family, making her Ramposa's daughter and Zanac and Renner's sister.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Remedios notices her attacks haven't even hit Cid and that the boy is intentionally faking being knocked down. She suspects that Cid might be an assassin trying to kill her but Cid is just doing what he thinks a mob character like him should do.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Renner is NOT happy that Shadow Garden kidnapped Climb and vows vengeance against them.
