When Emerl enters a strange portal and stumbles upon Roxas, the latter tells the former he wants Xion back.

- Achilles' Heel: Emerl is this to both Young Xehanort and Xigbar, the former's Time Master powers being a No-Sell to Emerl's speed, and the latter sees Emerl as a virus.
- Determinator: Emerl stopped at nothing to reunite Xion and Roxas. He summoned the True Organization XIII just by thinking about his promise to Roxas after the original's defeat, and even after saving Xion, he still tore apart the True Organization, and when he was done, the only survivor, aside from Roxas and Xion, was Terra, and even in his case, it's only because Xehanort was booted out of Terranort.
- Lost Lenore: Xion. She dies, forgotten by everyone except for Emerl (and perhaps Roxas), and when she comes Back from the Dead, she thinks she's a boy named Sora. Subverted because Emerl snaps her out of it.
- Played for Laughs: What you'd expect from something with memes from Just A Pancake? The darkest moments are the confrontations with Xemnas, Xigbar and Saix, and even then, they have explosions.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Ansem, Seeker of Darkness decides not to fight Emerl, as Emerl already fell to darkness and returned to light.
- Shout-Out:
- The entire thing is a huge shout-out to Just A Pancake, between Roxas and Emerl using "okay i believe you", Terranort talking in "DARKNESS" and Master Xehanort talking in "X-BLADE".
- Whenever facing Luxord, Emerl uses the Joker to make himself five aces. The Joker is revealed to be Jevil.
- When Emerl shoots Xigbar, he does Heavy's "NO U" from Heavy is Dead.
