Course Correction is a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction mostly based by the Archie Comics, written by Richforce. Set after the events of Sonic Forces (or, rather, a variation thereof), it views Sonic trying to stop the Interloper that will ruin Silver's future.
This fanfics contains examples of:
- Arc Villain: Specter.
- Been There, Shaped History: Subverted; Specter claims that he and his Order of Ixis were the reasons Mobians exist. However, Sonic reveals that some deities known as "Chaos Titans" patched up various destroyed dimensions after the Super Genesis Wave, and that, for this reason, Specter is a sham.
- Canon Foreigner: Lucian the Tenrec, who becomes Amy's Love Interest and Silver and Gold's father. He also bears an uncanny similarity to Sonic.
- Death by Adaptation: Eggman was killed during Sonic Forces. He was replaced by a program named "Victory", who took the name of Viktor Robotnik.
- Embarrassing Nickname: Not even Viktor Robotnik is immune to this; Sonic calls him "Mr. Perfect" in a rather mockingly tone.
- God of Evil: According to the Chaos Titans, the Order of Ixis worships one.
- The Perfectionist: Viktor Robotnik tries to be a perfect Robotnik. That doesn't stop Sonic from giving him an Embarrassing Nickname.
- Related in the Adaptation: Turns out that Silver and Gold are Amy's children, and Blaze is Geoffrey and Hershey St. John's daughter.
- Replacement Goldfish: Invoked; Viktor Robotnik turned himself into this for Eggman.
