These examples of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome seem to violate at least one of these rules, which disqualifies them: No character reactions (characters get angry, don't forgive, don't change their personality instantly, etc.); Too fantastical (depends on the properties of magic, powers, sci-fi tech, monsters, etc.); Not surprising (a character was warned about the outcome, it's used to provide Karma or An Aesop, or it simply follows normal conventions for this genre or medium); Plot happens (the example only describes an event, but not why audiences would expect a different, unrealistic outcome); Not an outcome (a character just explains why something wouldn't work as expected); More of a Deconstruction (the event has major, lasting effects on the plot, make something more realistic, but not completely realistic, or a parody/fanwork applies realistic consequences to the events of a different work); or fits better under a different trope. See the trope's definition for more details. If you believe a removal was a mistake, please bring it up in the cleanup thread.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: The series premise.
** Going to attack a nerd to do your homework and proceed to call him a circus freak? Expect to be [[CurbStompBattle beaten within an inch of your life in self-defense]] if his name is Dick Grayson and have your parents chew you out for putting a business relationship with Bruce Wayne at risk.
*** It doesn't matter if it was in self-defense, though. Dick still got suspended for fighting.
** See someone with a bloody nose and they tell you they ran into a wall? Artemis doesn't believe Wally until he gives reasons ''why'' having AbusiveParents wouldn't make sense given his status of a superhero.
*** Even after being reassured, Artemis is careful not to hurt Wally with her [[DopeSlap dope slaps]].
** Teammate de-aged? [[MundaneSolution Call in an expert ASAP]] before anything else happens and not let your partner/son stay in the care of several super-powered teens who might end up hurting him by accident.
** Most of the Team attempts to have Batman adopt them. Naturally, their parents/legal guardians are not amused. Those in relationships are reminded before and afterwards that they would be unable to continue on with said relationships since their significant other would be their sibling by adoption.
*** The Team (except for Wally and Artemis) are adopted in a test run...and are brought to live in the Batcave, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking covered in bat guano]]. Because of Bruce Wayne's high social stance, he cannot risk his identity being exposed by having the Team live in the manor. Within five minutes, the Team decides [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere to leave the unsanitary cave]].
** Ra's learns that reviving a former enemy (i.e. Jason Todd) and expecting them to be your ally doesn't work well. Since Bruce was a [[GoodParents good parent]] in the Young Justice universe, Jason doesn't want to enact vengeance and only stays long enough to train and heal.
*** However, Ra's had a back-up plan in the event that this happened and pulls a trigger rigged to kill Jason again...[[spoiler: but a detective like Jason might expect this and get assistance in removing it, as Ra's realizes later.]]
** Meanwhile, Jason pokes holes in Bruce's [[ThouShaltNotKill refusal to kill the Joker]] and [[spoiler: refuses to even listen to Bruce's justifications and shoots the murderous clown, averting TalkingIsAFreeAction.]]
*** Afterwards, Bruce captures Jason, since he still killed plenty of people prior to their encounter and brings him back to the Manor. Alfred [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe questions if Bruce is on crack for allowing a known killer to be near Tim (someone he hates) in the first place.]]
** The principal at Dick's school doesn't automatically take the bullies' side when they claimed he attacked them and [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure check on Dick and gets his side of the story before taking action.]] Not to mention, he quickly sees glaring holes in the bullies' stories...
** Bruce handles a bullying problem by threatening them as Batman. Cue happy ending? [[EpicFail Nope.]] [[spoiler: They figure out that Batman and Bruce Wayne are the same person, but are unable to convince anyone of this claim. Meanwhile, Dick and Alfred are beyond pissed at Bruce for telling Dick to keep his secret ID a secret while Bruce hypocritically goes out as Batman against the very people that harassed the boy.]]
** Wally is scared around [[spoiler: Zatanna after being on the receiving end of two pranks involving outfit swaps. Zatanna, and Robin (who took a part in the second prank), feel guilty and it takes time for him to start patching things up.]]
** Wally and Artemis blame Robin for the failsafe scenario disaster and are automatically called out on it. Conner is quick to remind Artemis that she wasn't really dealing with it like everyone else was and therefore, doesn't have any place to speak. Black Canary coldly reminds Wally (who had [[InsaneTrollLogic called Robin a traitor]]) that the scenario was '''unbeatable''', so it was really no one's fault. Aqualad gives the two of them [[WhatTheHellHero a little perspective on what it means to be a leader]], but Robin still feels guilty for [[IDidWhatIHadToDo his decisions in the scenario]], despite so many people coming to his defense.
*** The counseling sessions don't automatically delve into the scenario unless requested, so by the time Wally decides to talk about his irrational behavior with Black Canary, a week has already passed and he has had time to think about his actions. Black Canary also doesn't try forcing him to talk about it if he doesn't want to and even suggests him leaving if he doesn't want to continue the session.
** It is revealed that the Team didn't get off the hook at the end of [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10825854/1/We-Love-Our-Two-Dads We Love Our Two Dads]], since they essentially put Batman and Superman's identities at risk for petty revenge. As team leader, Aqualad was forced to help deal with the fallout while the Team's parents or guardians punished them.
** PlayedForLaughs at one point. Constantly altering the codename Red Arrow sets up in the Cave gets on his nerves. After one too many times where his codename was altered and parodied, he leaves just after walking in.
** Someone recognizes Roy in a small town while he is Trick-or-Treating, which makes sense because he was adopted by a high profile man.
** While Superman was wrong to have neglected Conner, he isn't without sympathetic points in his favor (the sudden appearance of Conner, his concern with not being a good parent) and calls out the League for acting no better than him. Continuing to give him the cold shoulder even when the issue was resolved was pointless.
** Because Dick never saw Bruce call out his dates or any socialites for harassing him, Dick doesn't think Bruce cares about him. [[UpToEleven The fact that many socialites decided to waste their time bullying a little kid was seen as annoying and insane.]] It ultimately gets to the point where Bruce loses it over Christmas and makes it clear no one is to bug Dick anymore and threatens to sue anyone involved.
*** Not all socialites were against Dick due to his background, there are several people disgusted and annoyed with the constant gossip and are actually concerned for Dick.
** Bruce doesn't just ''[[IdiotBall conveniently]]'' let the social worker get off the hook when he discovers that she placed Dick in a juvenile detention center for no other reason than she was simply racist. In fact, he proceeds to [[WouldHitAGirl strike her in righteous fury]], ensures that she gets arrested and blacklisted, and ensures that the rest of the staff is also fired and replaced for child abuse. Dick notes that if Bruce didn't do any of that, then their relationship would have been ''very'' strained.
