Arnold’s Couch Confessions

Dr. Bliss was known as the kind psychologist who became the first adult who ever lent her ear to Helga G. Pataki. So it makes sense that exciting things happen when her crush/target, Arnold, visits the doctor.
Arnold’s Couch Confessions contains the following examples:
- Call-Back: There are several references to the events of ‘’Hey Arnold! The Movie’’.
- Critical Psychoanalysis Failure: Downplayed example with Curly. Dr. Bliss is rubbing her temples after trying (and failing) to deal with Curly’s madness several times.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: After Curly steals a ring prop used for a ‘’The Hobbit’’ play and Bliss fails to get him to return it, everyone decides it would be easier to let him keep the ring until the play ends than trying to deal with his lunacy.
- Shipper on Deck: Dr. Bliss supports the idea of Arnold and Helga one day becoming a couple.
- Time Skip: The fic is set six months after Helga on the Couch and at least one season after the events of ‘’Hey Arnold! The Movie’’.
- Vengeance Feels Empty: Arnold has never felt any long-term satisfaction whenever he’s gotten revenge on Helga.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: As in canon, Arnold has always been very wise and observant for someone in grade school. Dr. Bliss is frequently impressed by Arnold’s astuteness.
