Alpha 5 is a series of short stories written by George S Hosokawa.

Alexander is a 17-year-old Superhero who encounters many people friend or foe along the way.

His goal is to surpass Sucker Punch who is the strongest superheroine in the world.

He later forms a team called Alpha 5 that serves as the protector of Niigata, Japan. It consists of teenage superheroes.

He also joins Team Aegis in the hopes of becoming a hero like Master Moto who originally was a superhero.

The storyline focuses on Alexander going on adventures either for fun or encountering someone who threatens to rule the world.

Word of God states that My Hero Academia and One-Punch Man is the primary inspiration of this story but several well-known Shonen manga can be considered as such. Also, DC Comics and Marvel Comics can be counted as one.

There are many characters and too many Shout-Outs. Expies can be counted as one. A popular example is Dharma Blast which is a reference to the Kamahameha Wave from Dragon Ball.

There have been future plans to adapt the short stories into a Webcomic.
