Creator / tri-Ace

tri-Ace is a video game development studio. The studio was founded in 1995 by Yoshiharu Gotanda, Joe Asanuma and Masaki Norimoto, all formerly of Telenet Japan's Wolf Team (which at the time had been developing Tales of Phantasia). They are now best known for the Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile series. Motoi Sakuraba (who had also been associated with Wolf Team) is almost always the music composer for their works, and almost all of their games (which mostly consist of Action RPGs) have been published by Square Enix (Enix pre-merger).

tri-Ace has developed the following games:
  • Resonance of Fate/End Of Eternity (PS3 and Xbox 360, 2010)
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3 and Xbox 360, 2011) - game design, art, and programming
  • Frontier Gate (PSP, 2011)
  • Frontier Gate Boost+ (PSP, 2013)
  • Labyrinth no Kanata (3DS, 2012)
  • Phantasy Star Nova (PSV, 2014)
